The play
Today, my Honors English class went to see the play, Frankenstein, at the Barter Theater. While driving to the theater I was questioning whether I was going to enjoy the play or if I was going to be bored out of my mind. Boy it was an awesome feeling to be imediantely intreged by the production. Barter's cast and staff did such an amazing job making the play come to life and capturing each character prefectly. I had really been wondering how they were going to dress and monster and how realistic it was going to look. I was peasantly surprised that they did such a fabulous job. He looked way better than I had ever imagined. Did you enjoy the play as much as I did? What were you most impressed with?

Rebekah!!! i loved the play too!!!! it was very intreging! i loved the costumes. But i really thought the live stunts were awsome! Like when Frankenstein threw william of the rocks!
ReplyDeletegreat blog
I agree. My favorite part of the play was the blind De Lacey. I wish Shelley would have had a blind man teach the monster how to read. That would be so much more believable than learning how to read by looking through a hole in the wall! Plus, there's just something powerful about a blind man seeing the beauty that no one else can.
ReplyDeleteI thought the play was good But, it messed with the way i pictured the charaters in my head.
ReplyDeleteI loved the play. I agree with Mr. Davis. It is great how blind people can't be prejudice against people. They see inner beauty instead of outer beauty. Also, I loved the monster's costume. It allowed me to see the horror that is the monster, but it also allowed me to see the emotions in the monster, enabling me to sympathize with the monster. I also loved the laboratory... It captured the essence of "spooky" very well...
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the play very much... I thought it was interesting to see how it followed the book so well up till the end. Nice blog Rebekah!
